Maybe one day HP will get some updated W10 drivers published that will correct these issues but in the meantime any help would be greatly appreciated.
#RTWLAN APPLICATION MISSING .EXE#
exe file extension stands for Windows executable file. Needless to say, the camera is not being used by another app (especially considering I have also discovered no other apps that would access the camera, like Skype and similar, will find an installed camera anymore) and it is most definitely connected seeing as it's built into the tablet. hpwlan.exe is a RtWLan belonging to RtWLan Application from 3G Corp. "Something went wrong - Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app." Additionally, some RtWLan.exe errors can be due to incorrect registry references, so we. The primary way to resolve these problems manually is to replace the EXE file with a fresh copy.
#RTWLAN APPLICATION MISSING DRIVER#
I have already completely uninstalled/reinstalled the driver and all that jazz with no luck.Īlso, I can no longer use the camera on this tablet as when I run the built-in W10 camera app I get this error: In most cases, RtWLan.exe file problems are due to the file missing or being corrupted (malware / virus) and often seen at RtWLan Application program startup. Unless someone here can give me another possible exlplanation or solution. I now assume this means the current W10 wi-fi driver is now jacked up in some way and needs an update. I am now not only getting the same wi-fi sleep issues mentioned above but I am also getting random irql_not_less_or_equal BSODs when the tablet is in use which all seem to reference these files/drivers when looking at the memory dumps: ok When ever my avg scans my pc atapi. Run a registry cleaner to repair and remove the Windows registry that is causing rtwlan.exe error. Make sure your PC is protected with proper anti-virus software program. These types of malfunctions may occur on computers that do not undergo regular maintenance, which may lead to critical glitches and system malfunctions. Application conflicts and Missing or corrupt windows drivers can also lead to rtwlan.exe error. This was also an issue I was also having with the W8.1 with Bing OS that was orginally installed on the tablet which was never fixed but now in the last couple months, and after the last couple W10 Cumulative Updates, I have run into more serious issues on top of that one. In certain cases, a rtwlanu.sys issue may occur when your computer system becomes overloaded or important program files go missing, get accidentally deleted or become corrupted. I updated my Stream 7 to W10 at the end of July 2015, have updated all the drivers to the most current ones on the HP site, have updated the BIOS to the most current one on the HP site and have stayed up to date with the W10 updates and everything was pretty much okay minus a wi-fi sleep issue where the wi-fi adapter would turn off when the tablet was put to sleep and then 9 times out of 10 would need a manual reset to get it back after waking the tablet up. Just wondering if we're ever going to see a new driver for the wi-fi adapter and camera on the Stream 7 tablet.
